Imaginarium 2014

imaginarium logoWhat is it?  A convention celebrating all things creative – writing, publishing, filmmaking, visual art, gaming, social media, blogging, fandom – basically, if you’re making art of any kind, you’ll find kindred souls and better methods at Imaginarium.  Fandom conventions are always fun, but art, filmmaking and literary tracks can get swamped by the excitement (and long lines) for celebrity autographs.  Imaginarium, as I understand it, is all about the content and the people who make it.  If you make art or aspire to do so or just want a chance to hang out with some of the best in the business, this is the place for you.  Regular registration is $55 per person, or get a gang together and come under the group rate of $35 per person for groups of 8 or more.  Or you can drop in on a day pass for $25.00.

When?  September 19-21, which is in, like, a week, so register already.

Where?  Crowne Plaza in Louisville, Kentucky

Register, book a room, volunteer, or just find out more here:  entertheimaginarium.com

The guest of honor is best-selling author Rose Pressey.  And of course, I’ll be there, with most of my usual gang of miscreants (Tally Johnson, Alexandra Christian, Marcia Colette, Crymsyn Hart, Selah Janel, S.H. Roddey – the list goes on and on).

And if you’re coming, here’s where to find me:

Friday, September 19:

5:30 pm – Destroying the Archetypes (those fuckers)

Saturday, September 20:

11:00 am – Indie or Agent (Ooo, do I have some choices words for that one)

3:00 pm – Fan Fiction (Where I got my start . . . sort of)

Sunday, September 21:

12:00 am, Midnight – Make Me Scream (trust me, you don’t want to miss this; the door prizes alone are worth the price of con registration)

10:00 am – The Gothic Romance (we won’t drop a helmet on you, we promise)

2:00 pm – The Editor’s  Function (turns out it’s NOT to make you cry)

Plus I’ll be hanging out at author’s alley with books to sell off and on all weekend, so please drop by and say hi.  I can’t wait to meet you!
